A groups of us did a weekend with Shelldon. Emdoneni Cheetah Project (in the cages and fields with big cats), Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve (saw 4 of the big 5 on the first day), and the St Lucia estuary cruise (hippos and crocs galore).     2 Day Safari Tour from Durban

    The Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve is a unique experience for anyone to visit; 960km2 of scenic bush veld views, free roaming wildlife and great accommodation. You’ll get to explore the reserve with your own private wildlife guide and learn more about animal behaviour.

    As an added bonus, our overnight tour includes an optional complimentary cruise on the St Lucia estuary where Hippo and Crocodile can be spotted as well as rich bird-life.

    2 Day Safari Tour Itinerary

    • We’ll pick you up at 7am from your hotel or other accommodation in the Durban or surrounding areas on day 1.
    • From here we head directly for St Lucia for your complimentary 2 hour estuary cruise where you can spot Hippo and Crocodile.
    • After your cruise we’ll stop for a quick lunch and then head to the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve for a late afternoon game drive until we check in.
    • After checking in, relax in your chalet or enjoy a short bush walk until dinner.
    • After dinner your guide will give you a guided tour of the starry night and then it’s off to bed.
    • On day 2 you’ll start off with an early morning game drive followed by a hearty breakfast and check out.
    • After check out you’ll spend the rest of the morning exploring the game reserve before stopping for lunch.
    • After lunch, you’ll leave the park and head on back to Durban.
