Viewing three out of the Big 5 isn’t a bad way to enjoy a Saturday.
Getting from anywhere else in the world to South Africa is not a cheap trip – long, sometimes multiple flights are involved and we all know airport taxes suck. This is why I offer budget tours.
Durban isn’t quite as popular as Cape Town, but with our access to wildlife and our strong cultural heritage, we’re definitely worth a visit.
It’s a 4 hour drive to Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift from Durban. It’s a beautiful drive filled with dramatic views of valleys and hills and villagers. And early in every year, it’s extra special.
It’s interesting how things change and yet stay the same. I’ve been thinking lately about the differences of conducting tours pre-covid and of course now.
In 2010 Country and Coastal Touring started offering pre-planned tours in our home city of Durban. And then covid struck.
Let’s face it, coming out to South Africa involves a whole lot of traveling. So why not make your battlefields experience extra special by adding on a wildlife safari.
