    The Detailed Description

    The Kruger National Park is known throughout the world as one of the best destinations in Southern Africa is experience a safari. There are a number of camps to stay at, from 3-star to luxurious 5-star. Whatever the choice, you’ll have two game drives a day to revel in the African veld.

    Eswatini is fast establishing itself as a cultural highlight of any visit to the north of South Africa. Eswatini has a deep and rich cultural history and mountains and valleys make it a beautiful landscape you’ll never forget. You’ll love the candles makers and marvel at the skill of the glass blowers.

    Itinerary

    Day 1
    • We’ll collect you from your accommodation in the Johannesburg area (we can also collect from Kruger International) and you’ll head north to Malelane gate. This drive is around 5 hours but your guide will help break up the journey by giving you some history of the area plus point out sites of interest.
    • Check into your accommodation and relax for the rest of the day or head out for a short game drive.
    Day 2
    • Start the day with an early morning game drive in an open safari vehicle where not only will you be spotting the wildlife of Southern Africa,but you’ll get to enjoy local treats like “Marula” coffee and rusks.
    • Return back to the camp for breakfast and then relax during the heat of the day int he nearby pool.
    • After a hearty lunch head back out for your late afternoon game drive and enjoy the hospitality of Africa. Finally return back to camp for a hearty dinner and ther retire to bed.
    Day 3
    • On your last day in Kruger enjoy a lovely early morning game drive and then return to camp for breakfast and to check out.
    • Leave Kruger National Park via Malelane Gate and then head into Eswatini for the town of Mbabane. Ont eh way you’ll stop for lunch and then arrive at the lodge in the afternoon.
    • Enjoy the afternoon either relaxing around the lodge or you can visit some of the nearby attractions, or even go for a hike through some of the amazing landscape trails before cleaning up for dinner.
    Day 4
    • After a hearty English breakfast, head out to the fame Candle Makers and Glass Bowers of Eswatini. The amazing talent of the people has to be seen to be believed!
    • Enjoy lunch in the nearby town and then head to the nearby cultural village to learn more about the history, the traditions and the culture of the Swatini people.
    • After a long day out, you’ll head back to the lodge to relax and enjy the evening ahead.
    Day 5
    • Depart the lodge at Mbabane and head south into South Africa. This is a long day on the road but worth it for the dramatic views!
    • The destination for the today is Hluhluwe Imfolozi where you’ll overnight at Bonamanzi Game Reserve.
    • You will have an opportunity to enjoy a late afternoon game drive at Bonamanzi and then back at camp you’ll get to enjoy a local South Africa favourite, a “braai” (barbecue) before retiring to bed
    Day 6
    • Before breakfast you’ll start your day with an early morning game dive at the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve where you’ll get to enjoy a breakfast braai at one of the picnic spots inside the park.
    • Next up you will head to the town of St Lucia, arriving just in time for lunch and a later afternoon game drive in the iSimangaliso wetlands park.
    • After your game drive, relax and enjoy dinner at the one of the many restaurants in St Lucia – for added excitement you may even see one the resident celebratories (hippo) strolling up the main street!
    Day 7
    • It’s your final day and you’ll start it off with an early morning 2 hour cruise on the St Lucia estuary. This is one of the best places in South Africa to spot hippo and crocodile, St Lucia is also famed for it’s wildlife.
    • After your cruise you’ll begin the trip to Durban, stopping at Umdloti for lunch and a stroll on the beach before being dropped off at the accommodation of your choice.
