    The Detailed Description

    The Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve is 960km2 in size (slightly smaller than New York, several times bigger than Paris) and is home to the famed “Big 5”. It’s not just the big 5 that makes this park an exciting reverse to visit, it’s the amazing landscapes and the abundance of bird life and other animals.

    One of the popular features of the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve is that it’s easily accessible from Durban, making a perfect day trip to experience a wildlife safari for those in Durban for a limited time.

    Itinerary

    • We’ll collect you from your accommodation in the Durban or surrounding areas at 6am.
    • It’s a 3 hour drive north to the park but on the route your guide will point out places of interest and chat to you about the history of the area and the people living there.
    • We’ll stop along the way for a comfort break and to get some snacks.
    • On arrival at the park you’ll spend the day in our closed vehicle exploring the park.
    • We will break for lunch during the course of the day.
    • Depending on animal sightings, we’ll aim to leave the park at around 3:30pm.
    • Drop off in Durban at approx. 6:30pm.
